Today I have my last appointment before my induction on Monday. I'm so excited that I'm so close to holding her. I'm hoping she decides to come on her own, but at least I know the process will begin on Monday if nothing else.

Today I am just meeting with the doctor. No non stress test (as far as I know) and no ultrasound. Hopefully she will tell me I have dilated a little more. I'm nervous to be induced if I haven't dilated more since I've been at 1 cm for 2 weeks. I don't want it to cause a longer labor if she isn't ready.

Got an interesting fortune message in my cookie last night.....hoping it's an omen that I will go into labor today...

Baby update!

Went to the doctors today for my non-stress test and check up. They did an ultrasound and said that my amniotic fluid has gone down and is now well within the normal range.

I talked to my doctor about how I have been feeling - nauseous, super tired, achy, and just all around yucky. She thinks I'm in the beginning stages of labor and feels that I will be going into labor sometime this week. HOWEVER, if for some reason I don't go into labor this week, she scheduled an induction for next Monday the 20th! Yay! Almost done!! I can't wait to meet Alice! :)

The Results Are In....

27 days left....

27 days until our appointment for our fetal scan......and we can finally know if it is Alice Olivia or Desmond Cole. I'm so excited. I have another appointment beforehand, in two weeks, and then we'll find out a couple weeks later.

Our last appointment went well. We heard the heartbeat again, this time extremely strong and loud. I also told the doctor that I had started to feel the baby flutter around 12 1/2 weeks and she was surprised. She told us we had an over-achiever in there. LOL.

Mike had been on a business trip this week and came home last night. I received a text from him saying he was boarding his last plane to come home and I got super excited and all of a sudden, the baby started doing a little Irish jig in my belly. The baby was apparently very excited that Daddy was coming home. LOL. 

I realized that I never posted pictures from 15 weeks and 16 weeks so I thought I would post them for everyone.

Sorry for the quality. My phone doesn't take the best pictures...I also think I looked bigger in week 15.....

Finally finished my finals for school and am now in two more classes. They are actually not too bad. I have algebra which surprising is fairly easy, and I have a nutrition class which has a whole thing on nutrition during pregnancy. It's awesome. 

Anyway, I will update soon about my upcoming appointments.

Second Trimester, Here I Come!!

Thank God! I'm starting to get some of my energy back. I am somewhat feeling human again. I actually feel like I can somewhat function.

We got to hear the heartbeat last week. It was amazing! It was so strong and loud. It made me feel relieved to hear that. Just about 6 1/2 weeks til we find out if it's a boy or a girl. I'm so excited for that.

It's a baby!!!!!!

I realized today that I hadn't taken any bump pics in the past couple weeks. While I was at work, I was in the bathroom and decided to look at my belly.....I was surprised as to how much of a bump was there! I've definitely gotten bigger!

So I went in today to have a check up because I was having a little bit of pain so I wanted to make sure everything was ok. The doctor did an exam and said that everything looks good. But she decided to do an ultrasound just to make sure. Here is our little bean!!!!
